Lucky?
“Hmmm… Let’s see. Today’s lucky direction is west…”
Sengoku Kiyosumi, 3rd year student of Yamabuki Chuu Gakuen lazed around his bedroom while checking his fortune.
Although he maybe friendly and warm, he has trouble finding the right girl because his straightforwardness sometimes scared the shy girls away. ‘But maybe today will be a new day’, he thought with a smile.
Changing into a pair of jeans and an olive green hooded sweatshirt, he decided to go out to try his luck. ”Okaasan, I’m going out now…” the ginger-headed boy waved to his mother as he stepped out into the porch.
“Hmmm… Let’s see what I will encounter at the west direction,” he grinned and turn to his left as soon as he stepped out from the gates. Strolling along the pathway and minding his own business, he was suddenly greeted by a low and unfamiliar voice.
“Excuse me, young man… But do you mind helping us?” the elderly man said with a smile. Sengoku gazed at the man for a moment before apologising for his behaviour. “Gomen, of course I’ll be glad to help you,” he nodded politely.
“Why thank you young man, could you help us move this boxes into our house?”
“Aa… Of course!”
As he carried the boxes into the house, he glanced around, finding a spot to put the boxes. “Anou, where do I put these?”
“Ah! Tut mir leid!” a young girl appeared, waving her arms frantically in the air and bowed apologetically at him.
“Eh?” Sengoku blinked, ‘Whats up with this girl?’
“I’m sorry! You can put them here…” she smiled and helped him with the boxes.
“Oh! Seems like my fortune was right! Lucky~”
“Erm, excuse but what did you mean by that?” asked the girl.
“It’s nothing! Hehehehe… Etto, what did you say earlier?” Sengoku grinned and placed both his arms at the back of his head.
“Oh, you mean tut mir leid?”
“Yea.”
“Its means ‘I am sorry’. I tend to mix my languages when I speak sometimes” she grinned sheepishly bowing her head.
A grin crept over the ginger-haired’s face. He had never seen someone so pretty before. The girl had very fair skin with hazel green eyes and long auburn hair. “I see, well I’m Sengoku Kiyosumi, your new neighbour,” lifting his hand out.
“Glad to meet you. I’m ” she held his hands a shook it. “Anou, pardon my curiosity but are you mixed?” Sengoku asked with a slightly blushing face.
A sweet smile fluctuated across her face, ”Ja! I’m half Japanese and half German.” She winked at him.
“Would you like some tea?” she led him to the kitchen and gestured him to sit down at an empty seat next to the table. “I’m sorry that we don’t have a proper guestroom and that you have to sit here…” she apologised as she took out some tea cups from the cupboard.
“It’s okay! So where are you going to be studying?” he asked her as she sat down next to him. “Erm, I’m not quite sure. Grandpapa said that I’ll be going to Yamabuki but we haven’t gone to register yet” she said and looked at him with her clear eyes.
“Yamabuki Chuu Gakuen? Lucky~ I’m a student there. Perhaps I could show you around once you enter the school?” Sengoku grinned and winked at her.
“Ah, dankeschön!”
“That means ‘thank you’, right?”
“Ja!” she giggled.

“Sen-chan!” waved when she walked past the tennis courts. Getting a few glares from the fan girls that were there. “Who’s that, Sengoku? Your girlfriend?”
“Mou, if she was then I’d be lucky~,” the boy grinned at his buchou and quickly walked across the courts to greet her.
“Hey! What’s up? Looks like you know you way around here already…”
“I got used to the school surroundings thanks to you, Sen-chan.”
“Hehe, glad I could help . So what brings you here?”
pondered for a moment and smiled. “Um… Well, since we live next to each other I thought that… Well… Maybe…”
“Maybe we could walk home together?” Sengoku continued with a cheeky grin.
“Ja! You read my mind!” the girl laughed and punched him playfully on the arm.
“Well, then let’s go! Practice is over.”
“Okay!”

“Ne, Sen-chan… Why do the girls give me a strange look when I talk to you?” asked as they were on their way home.
“I guess they were jealous… It happens to a lot of times,” he laughed.
“I see…”
“Want to watch a movie? I’ve rented this Sci-Fi movie recently and I haven’t watched it yet,” said Sengoku, changing the topic quickly as he saw a little sadness in the girl’s face.
“I don’t really watch Sci-Fi movies make me feel langweilisch…but, yes I’ll watch it with you.” a small smile spread across the girl’s petite face.
“Langweilisch? Next time I have to carry a German dictionary with me,” he laughed and place his hand on her shoulder.
“Gomen! It means ‘bored’, but I said ‘sorry’ correctly right? My Japanese isn’t really good yet,” her cheeks now had a dark tinge of red.
“Yep! Haha! Don’t worry about it. I can help you out anytime!” he gave her a wink and a big grin and he was welcomed with a blush from the girl.

*RING RING*
“Hello? Sengoku residence.”
“Hello, may I speak to Kiyosumi please?”
“Heh, it sounds so nice when you call me by my given name .”
“Sen-chan! Meanie!”
“Haha, sorry! So what’s the purpose of you calling? You can't make it tonight?”
“No, I can make it. I was thinking that maybe you could come over. Grandpapa and grandmama is out and I’m home alone…”
“Ah, then we can some ‘private’ time! Great, I’ll come over!”
“Private time? What’s that supposed to mean Sen-chan?”
“Oh nothing, see you later then?”
“Okay…”
Sengoku grinned to himself as he put down the receiver. ‘I need to make sure I don’t let this chance slip away’ he thought. He looked like the type of guy that chases after girls, but once he’s fallen for one, it would take him forever to fall out from it.
Putting on his favourite shirt and some cologne, he gave his hair a quick brush and headed over next to door.
He wanted to impress this girl. He had never met a girl with such a beautiful personality . being her friend was already a huge blessing…but he wanted to be more than friends, he wanted to care for her, he wanted to love her.
“Konban wa,” he called out.
“Sen-chan! You’re slightly early,” she smiled as she led him in the house.
“It’s not bad is it?” he joked.
“Of course not, I baked some cookies so we can eat them while watching the movie!”
“Sounds good! I’m sure they’re delicious!”
“Thanks! Wow, did you put on some cologne?” she asked as she sat down beside him on the sofa.
“Yea, like the smell?” he grinned.
“Yea, it smells great. You’re dressing up as if you’re on a date or something.”
“Well, I’m trying to impress this girl you see. And she asked me to come over to her house to watch a movie together and she’s such a sweet person…” he winked at her.
“So, you see… I’m on a date right now,” he continued.
A faint blush crept over her fair cheeks, “Sen-chan…”
“Well, since you’re my date. I have to my best to make sure you have a good time!” slipping an arm around her waist.
“Um… I’ll go get the cookies then…” she said in a small voice.
Sengoku pulled her closer to him as she attempted to get up. “You don’t have to. You already brought them out here…” he pointed to the jar of freshly baked cookies.
“Oh… Erm, so I have,” she laughed nervously. He liked the way she fidgeted when she was nervous, it was so cute. He watched as she brushed back her hair and tried to get comfortable as they settled down to watch the movie.

It was an awkward first 40 minutes for , but in the end, she herself accepted the fact that it wasn’t an illusion but a real situation. Slowly, she put her head on his shoulders and snuggled closer.
Sengoku smiled and held her tighter with both of his arms.
About approximately an hour after the movie began, boredom struck. Soon, was almost falling asleep. Sengoku, aware of the situation, turned away from the movie and stroked her face. smiled.
“Sen-chan, ich kann du gut leiden…”
“Eh?”
chuckled and kissed him softly on the lips before wrapping her arms around his neck and closed her eyes.
